Who we are

Ammen LLC ("Ammen") operates this platform and is the controller of the personal data you give us. We are licensed by Qatar Central Bank, licence number QCB LICENCE NO. 2026/1 م ات. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data, in line with applicable laws.

When we handle your personal data, we:

  • process it lawfully, fairly and transparently,
  • collect it for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes, and do not use it in ways incompatible with those purposes,
  • collect only what is adequate, relevant and necessary for those purposes,
  • keep it accurate and up to date, and correct or erase inaccurate data without delay,
  • keep it for no longer than is necessary, and
  • keep it secure against unauthorised or unlawful use and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data such as health, religion or ethnic origin. If we ever need to process sensitive personal data, we will do so only with your explicit consent or where the law permits.

We use the information you give us for a quote only for that purpose.

Where we rely on your consent, we first tell you why we need your data, how we will use it and who we will share it with. You can withdraw your consent as easily as you gave it. If we want to use your data for a different purpose, we will ask for your consent again.

Who we share it with

  • Insurers on our platform, so they can quote and issue your policy. See our Data Sharing Statement below for the details shared.
  • Service providers that host or support our platform, under contracts that require confidentiality and security.
  • Qatar Central Bank and other authorities, where the law requires it.

We disclose personal data only to third parties that give sufficient guarantees to protect it, and we require them to meet privacy and information security controls through contractual clauses or data processing agreements.

In limited circumstances permitted or required by law, we may process personal data without notice or consent. Examples are investigating alleged criminal activity, protecting people from harm, co-operating with law enforcement and supervisory authorities, meeting legal obligations, audits, and defending legal claims.

We keep personal data only for as long as it is required for a legitimate purpose, and then dispose of it so that it cannot be recovered. Records are accessible only to authorised staff who need them to do their job.

How we protect it

We use access controls, encryption, firewalls, regular backups, monitoring and periodic security audits to protect your personal data, and we limit access to staff who need it for their work. If a personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will notify you and the supervisory authorities without undue delay.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you access to the personal data we hold about you,
  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete,
  • erase data that is no longer needed for its purpose, or when you withdraw your consent,
  • restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances,
  • stop using your data for a purpose you object to, and
  • give you your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format so you can pass it to another organisation.

Some records must be kept for the periods above even if you ask us to delete them. If we cannot do what you ask, we will explain why. To make a request, email info@ammen.co. We reply within 10 days.

Complaints about privacy

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first at info@ammen.co. You may also complain to the National Cyber Security Agency, which oversees the data protection law in Qatar, or to Qatar Central Bank. We acknowledge, document, investigate and respond to every privacy complaint in a timely manner.

The information you enter on Ammen is shared with insurance companies so they can give you a quote. The prices and product details you see come directly from the insurers we have an agreement with.

What we share and why

When you ask for a quote, we send the details you enter to the insurers on our platform so that each one can calculate a price for you. We share only what an insurer needs to quote and, if you choose to buy, to issue your policy.

Who we share it with

We share your details with the insurers listed on our platform. Each is licensed by Qatar Central Bank. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law or a regulator requires it.

What happens next

If you buy a policy, the insurer you choose issues it and becomes responsible for your information under its own privacy policy. The insurer tells us that a policy was issued so that we can keep our records.

What we do not keep

We pass your details to insurers electronically. We do not keep details of your insurance cover on our platform. We keep only your name, Qatar ID number, email address and mobile number, together with a record that a quote was requested or a policy was bought.
